The best views are from Chapman Peak, but you can also from the road. Nov 2021. The strange name of the bay comes from the diary entry of the Dutch discoverer Jan van Riebeeck. From Dutch it means "Wooded Bay". Now we wouldn't label it that way, since urbanization has pretty much pushed the forest.
